S. Wadsworth Blvd/ Waterton Rd Intersection Feasibility Study OverviewIn 2008 Jefferson County initiated a feasibility study for improving the safety and operations of the S. Wadsworth Boulevard/Waterton Road Intersection. The goal of the study is to develop a transportation solution that enhances safety for the traveling public and improves operational deficiencies of the existing intersection. While the primary focus of the Feasibility Study is to find a Locally Preferred Alternative for the intersection improvements, the study will also evaluate accommodation of pedestrian and bicycle safety, provide a long term access management plan between the intersection and the Platte River, and consider future widening of Waterton Road south and east of the intersection. This Feasibility Study could result in a phased solution where the first interim construction phase would provide a safer, more efficient roadway for today's traffic volumes at the intersection, and a future phase would accomodate the remaining recommended improvements. Jefferson County, Douglas County, Lockheed Martin, CDOT, and the local communities are all important stakeholders in the process.

Wadsworth Boulevard/Waterton Road Intersection Feasibility Study Open House on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the Roxborough Primary School (8000 Village Circle West, Littleton, CO 80125) from 5:00pm to 7:30pm.
